Discover our greaseproof outer paper
We have a new paper type in our range: greaseproof outer paper. This paper is suitable for packaging high-fat products such as biscuits, chocolate, crackers, etc. The new paper is not only functional, it also has a nice natural look. This makes your products stand out even more.
Stop grease and moisture
What are your options?
Basically, all our bags with an inside finish are grease-resistant. A film or grease-resistant paper on the inside of the bag forms an excellent barrier against moisture or grease.
Do you want to be completely sure? Then go for double protection and choose the new greaseproof paper for the outside of your bag.
Greaseproof outer paper
What is it?
Greaseproof paper is similar to white or brown kraft paper. The difference is that the pulp, from which paper is made, has received a grease-resistant treatment. This ensures that grease penetration is stopped.
Important features
This paper, like our other paper qualities, is 100% suitable for food packaging according to EN standards.
It is also PEFC-certified. This means that the wood from which paper is made comes from sustainably managed forests.
By the way, this paper is recyclable at the end of its use. This is how we contribute to a sustainable environment.
If you combine this new paper quality with a film on the inside, you have a sealable bag. This keeps your products fresh even longer!

Fact: how does grease penetration occur?
Grease penetration occurs when a greasy product comes into contact with paper as paper is naturally moisture-absorbent.
However, grease cannot penetrate through a (PP) film or grease-resistant inner paper, making it an excellent barrier against grease and moisture. In certain circumstances, however, grease may still find its way onto the paper.
You are more likely to get grease penetration if a product is packed too hot, contains a lot of butter/oil or when outside temperatures shoot up.
