Your duty to inform, handled by us
The PPWR brings a duty to inform: your packaging has to tell the consumer how to sort it. A QR code on your bag is the simplest way to do that today. We build and maintain the page behind it, and together we find the best spot on your bag.
What your customer sees
One page, one answer
Whoever scans the code lands on a short page that does one thing only: explain what has to happen with this bag.
- The right bag straight away. Every code leads to the explanation for its own type, paper, paper with film or bio-film.
- Three steps in pictures. Opening, separating, and where each part belongs.
- In the visitor's language. Dutch, English, French, German or Spanish, chosen automatically. Extra languages are open for discussion, contact us.
- The rules of their country. With a link to the official sorting guide, from Beter Sorteren to Ecoembes.
No menu and no web shop. Your customer only gets the answer to their question.
What it gives you
Three worries less
- You inform your customer today already, without writing or translating texts yourself.
- The explanation stays current without reprinting. The code stays the same, we update the page behind it. When a uniform European sorting label arrives, in 2028 at the earliest, we print it with a next run.
- You show that you are on top of it. That is more than the legislation asks of you today, and your customer sees it on the packaging.
How it gets onto your bag
This is how the code gets there
- We put it on. With your next print run the code is on your bag. You do not have to supply anything yourself.
- Together we find the best spot. Usually the code runs along in your existing design, at the bottom or in the side gusset, so your bag keeps looking the same. If that does not fit, we look together at what does work.

Do I have to do this?
The information duty is coming; what exactly it will look like is not yet fixed. The QR code is the simplest way to inform your customer already today, and the explanation behind it updates without reprinting.
