The label <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>guarantees that the wood that forms the basis for paper originates from a sustainably managed forest<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Sustainable forestry management is defined as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Guaranteeing or improving the preservation of biodiversity<\/li>\n<li>The protection of ecologically important forest areas<\/li>\n<li>A ban on GMOs, certain pesticides and the felling of trees for agriculture or timber plantations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the environmental aspect, the label imposes a series of <strong><span style=\"color: #5b0208;\">social criteria<\/span>, <\/strong>such as a ban on forced or compulsory labour, a guaranteed minimum wage, safe working conditions, and a ban on child labour and discrimination.<\/p>\n<p>The label is managed by <strong><span style=\"color: #5b0208;\">the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC)<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>The paper from Baginco is PEFC certified<\/strong><\/span>. This means that we have a <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>unique certificate number<\/strong><\/span>. The logo can be used in various <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>colours<\/strong> <\/span>(green, black etc) and must comply with specific <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>directives<\/strong><\/span>. Contact the Baginco Sales team for the correct logo and more information.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pefc.be\">www.pefc.be<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;10209&#8243; img_size=&#8221;medium&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;5\/6&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>Seedling logo<\/h3>\n<p>The seedling logo is a <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>label indicating compostability<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Packaging is compostable if it complies with <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>European compost standard EN-13432<\/strong><\/span>. These are the <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>4 criteria<\/strong><\/span> with which it must comply:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Disintegration: At least 90% of the product must break down into particles of less than 2 mm within 12 weeks<\/li>\n<li>Biodegradation: The product must break down biologically into anorganic substances (CO<sub>2<\/sub> and minerals) within 6 months.<\/li>\n<li>The maximum concentrations of heavy metals (Pb, Cr, Cd) may not be exceeded<\/li>\n<li>Ecotoxicity: The product may not have any harmful effect on the (quality of) compost.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There are 2 independent recognised <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>certification institutions<\/strong><\/span>, T\u00dcV Austria and DIN Certco, who carry out the EN-13432 certification procedure. There are also 2 accompanying <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>logos<\/strong><\/span>, OK compost and the seedling logo.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>bio bag made from bio paper with bio film<\/strong> <\/span>from Baginco is <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>industrially compostable <\/strong><\/span>and certified by Din Certco. This means that we have a<span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"> <strong>seedling logo with a unique certificate number<\/strong><\/span>. The logo must comply with specific <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>directives<\/strong> <\/span><a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>. Contact the Baginco Sales team for the correct logo and more information.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>OK Compost logo<\/strong><\/span> is an alternative to the Seedling logo. As Baginco is certified by DIN Certco, the seedling logo must be used and not the OK Compost logo.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/6&#8243;][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;10175&#8243; img_size=&#8221;medium&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Sorting logos<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;5\/6&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>Mobius loop or recycling logo<\/h3>\n<p>The Mobius loop or the recycling logo is the<span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"> <strong>symbol for recycling<\/strong><\/span>. This merely states that products bearing this symbol, or their packaging, are recyclable. This logo is <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>voluntary and is not checked <\/strong><\/span>and therefore offers no guarantees.<\/p>\n<p>There is often confusion over this logo as there is also a <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>version<\/strong> <\/span>that has a number within it. This<span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong> number indicates that a product contains a percentage of recycled material<\/strong><\/span>. This is not the same as being recyclable!<\/p>\n<p>At Baginco the recycling logo without percentage may be used for paper bags that are recyclable. This depends on the composition of the bag and the directives in various countries. It indicates that the <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>product or packaging may not be disposed of in domestic waste<\/strong><\/span>, but must be sorted or taken to a collection point to be recycled.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #5b0208;\">With effect from 1 January 2020<\/span>, <\/strong>the <strong>Info-tri logo, which incorporates the Triman logo, will have to be stated on domestic packaging<\/strong>. From that date you are no longer permitted to use the current <span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong>Triman logo separately<\/strong><\/span>. It distinguishes the various materials from which the packaging is made (cardboard, plastic etc.) and provides the sorting instructions for each one.<\/p>\n<p>The<span style=\"color: #5b0208;\"><strong> use of l\u2019info-tri is mandatory<\/strong><\/span>.
